In all, the Augsburg site comprises 3,000 employees working in four plant sections. Main Plant IV also houses the Premium AEROTEC headquarters and Engineering with 300 employees, as well as the vocational training section. Eurofighter centre fuselage sections and UAV prototypes are assembled in Plant III.

Plant I is currently being built right next door, and will house the manufacture of the side shells of section 16/ 18 of the Airbus A350 XWB. Access to the airfield is being created via Lagerlechfeld so that A380 components can be transported with the Beluga. This is where the A380 bathtub and the A400M shells are currently being fabricated in Plant II. These investments and the networking with the Augsburg Technology Campus are creating the prerequisites for mastering technological change and the challenges of international competition.
