Berlin, 8 June 2010 – Premium AEROTEC is preparing for series production of the new A350 XWB long-haul aircraft. Production of the first panels made of carbon fibre composites (CFCs) for the A350 XWB will start at the Nordenham site in June. The Augsburg site will follow suit shortly afterwards. Premium AEROTEC is the world’s largest supplier of fuselage structures for the A350 XWB. Its total investment in this future generation of aircraft amounts to around € 360 million, as the company announced in connection with a press meeting held in the run-up to the ILA Berlin Air Show 2010.
Augsburg, 21 May 2010 – Premium AEROTEC is taking part in the ILA Berlin Air Show for the first time. This year’s Air Show will take place from 8 to 13 June. The company will have its own stand (Hall 7, Stand 101) and also a chalet (No. 13).
Augsburg (Germany) / Brasov (Romania), 4 March 2010 – A real estate contract for the construction of a new plant in Ghimbav/ Brasov County was signed today during an official ceremony in the presence of Romanian prime minister Emil Boc and economy minister Adriean Videanu. This means that work can now begin on constructing the first building section on the 60,000 m² premises. This production unit will already start operations during the course of 2010, and will be fully completed by the end of 2011. A second building section is in the pipeline. Premium AEROTEC’s investment amounts to around € 45 million.

The autoclave (pressurised oven), 25 metres long and eight metres high in diameter, has been delivered to the plant in Augsburg. Premium AEROTEC is the world’s largest supplier of fuselage structures for the A350 XWB. Total investment at Premium AEROTEC for this future generation of aircraft amounts to around € 360 million.
Just one year after its foundation, Premium AEROTEC GmbH is expanding further. The former Airbus parts manufacturing unit in Bremen was integrated into Premium AEROTEC on 1 January 2010. This created a solid long-term basis for securing the future.
Nordenham – Premium AEROTEC in Nordenham today took delivery of the 27 meter long autoclave, eight meters high in diameter, for production of the forward fuselage sections for the new Airbus A350 XWB. Once installed in the A350 hall currently under construction, the autoclave’s first cure cycle is planned for the turn of the year. It is expected to be fully available for production from the spring of 2010.

Augsburg – Premium AEROTEC today has begun the construction of the new 25,000 m² hangar, which will be the manufacturing plant for fiber composite components of the new Airbus A350 XWB. The last weeks already have seen the delivery of about 20 truck loads of steel to the site of the new factory, just westerly of the Impuls Arena. The shell of the building is due to be completed by the beginning of November. Premium AEROTEC is the largest aerostructures supplier for the new Airbus A350 XWB. The total investment for this new long-haul aircraft will amount to approximately €360 million between 2009 and 2011 at the Premium AEROTEC sites.
Endorsement of the Chosen Path – Praise for a Good Start
Augsburg – Premium AEROTEC received an endorsement of the chosen path with a visit by EADS-CEO Louis Gallois. He praised the good start of the company, which has been operative since January 2009: "Our new baby is making splendid progress." Premium AEROTEC was formed from the Airbus plants in Nordenham and Varel (Northern Germany), as well as from the EADS Defence & Security site Augsburg (in Bavaria).
Le Bourget / Augsburg – The German aerostructures supplier Premium AEROTEC succeeded in 20 months to develop and deliver the first Barrier Wall for the new Airbus A330-200 freighter version.
Le Bourget / Nordenham – Premium AEROTEC delivered the door frame shell for the CFRP fuselage demonstrator from Nordenham to Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg for structural testing today on schedule. This marks another major milestone on the way towards serial production for the A350 XWB at Premium AEROTEC. The aerospace supplier, founded in January 2009, is the main aerostructure supplier for this new family of Airbus aircraft.
Paris – The German aerostructures supplier Premium AEROTEC signed another contract for work packages for the new A350 XWB at the Paris Airshow 2009 in Le Bourget today. In addition to the fuselage structures for the forward fuselage section (section 13/14) and the side shells of the aft fuselage section (section 16/18), it now has also been awarded with contracts for the floor structure and the aft pressure bulkhead in the aft fuselage section (section 16/18). The volume of this order is approximately $500 million, making Premium AEROTEC the largest aerostructures supplier for this new aircraft type.
The German aerostructures supplier Premium AEROTEC will be present at the Paris Air Show – Le Bourget (15 – 21 June, 2009) in Hall 1, booth E 197. Operative since January 2009, it is the company’s first appearance in the year of the air show’s 100th anniversary.
The handover of the fuselage section for the 4000th member of the Airbus A320 family was today celebrated at Premium AEROTEC’s Nordenham plant in the presence of Airbus representatives and Premium AEROTEC employees.
The constituent meeting of the Supervisory Board of Premium AEROTEC GmbH took place in Augsburg today. According to German Co-determination Law, the Supervisory Board of Premium AEROTEC GmbH consists of twelve members, of whom six are elected by the shareholders and six are representatives of the employees. Dr Gerald Weber was elected as Chairmanof the Board, and Jürgen Kerner as Vice Chairman.

Premium AEROTEC GmbH started its operations with legal effect on 1 January, thereby finalizing the carve-out process of the former Airbus sites in Nordenham and Varel and the former EADS site in Augsburg within the expected time frame.
