Dieter Meiners resigns from Premium AEROTEC’s board of management

In accordance with Premium AEROTEC’s supervisory board, Dr. Dieter Meiners, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Premium AEROTEC and Member of the company’s board of management, resigns from his mandate with immediate effect and will leave the company.

With his wide-ranging professional experience he contributed significantly to the successful implementation of CFC technology at Premium AEROTEC. Major milestones such as establishing production facilities in Romania’s Braşov and the ramp-up of the A350 XWB came thanks to his efforts. We wish him all the best for his personal future,“ said Kai Horten, CEO of Premium AEROTEC.

Since the start for Premium AEROTEC in 2009, Dr. Dieter Meiners has been a member of the board of management and Head of Operations. Prior to that, he has been serving since 1980 in various functions at Airbus, last as head of Airbus’ Stade plant. Already there he successfully performed the transition from mainly metal aircraft construction to CFC (carbon fibre composite) technology.

Premium AEROTEC generated revenues of about 1.3 billion euros in 2010. Its core business is the development and manufacturing of metal and carbon composite aerostructures and the associated equipment and production systems. The company has production plants in Augsburg, Bremen, Nordenham and Varel in Germany, and in Braşov County, Romania.
